The crazy contraption is described as a "clean and efficient commuter vessel with integrated power", and is capable of going on or off-road. It's also highly modular and can serve many different purposes as well as the trail bike transportation, with loads of space for cargo, skis... and you can even turn it into a work bench.
"The carpenter or gardener can bring and charge their power tools anywhere to execute their work, off the grid. The rock guitarist or DJ may do a gig or a forest rave, bringing their gear in the middle of nowhere", say Cake emphatically... so your options really do extend past just having a vehicle to take your mountain bike up to your favourite shredding spot. All components are made from scratch, and with the large-sized battery it can go for up to 100km on a single charge.
The frame is sturdy 6061 aluminium, there is suspension front and rear and it all moves thanks to a unique Gates carbon belt drive.
The price? It starts from 8,500 euros with a medium-sized battery (60km range), with a bigger battery size and accessories available for a premium. The Ösa is available to pre-order now with deliveries starting in March, check out Cake's website here for more info.
