Swiss company Miloo have just launched an e-cargo bike, the Cargo Beast, and have done so by highlighting the e-bike subsidies avaialble for it at several locations around the country.
Miloo say there are subsidies of between 10% and 15% in the cities of Geneva, Lausanne, Locarno and Lugano. However, as this page on their website makes clear, in one Canton (region) of Switzerland alone there are in fact a huge variety of local incentives, most amounting to the equivalent of several hundred pounds off.
The bike itself looks rather more US-inspired than hailing from continental Europe, most noticably with it's fat tyre option. The Cargo Beast is clearly a longtail version of their original e-bike the Beast, which comes in 15.5mph and 28mph versions and is offered direct to customers from Miloo itself, with a number of customisable options. 28mph speed pedelecs are particularly popular in Switzerland as they are allowed both on roads and cycle paths, unlike in most other European countries.

The bikes feature a powerful mid-drive (make not apparent) with a 672Wh battery with Samsung cells and the option of adding a second battery.
This is no 'here's a bike in a box and that's it' company however, as Miloo also make a big point of their personal and friendly approach to after sales service. "We are Swiss so that means quality and customer satisfaction," says co-founder Anna Boury. It looks like they really mean it too as customers receive invitations to scheduled free checkups and after work events at their shops.
