Cannondale have electrified their Treadwell hybrid bike with the launch of the Treadwell Neo. It's available with both a standard top tube and the Remixte version with a step-through frame, and the motor system is courtesy of eBikeMotion.
The eBikeMotion system is integrated neatly into the frame, with a button on the top tube to alter your assist and the battery housed in the downtube. The shifting is Shimano Acera 9-speed, with a Prowheel 42t single ring crankset and an 11-36t cassette at the rear. The SmartForm C3 Alloy frame is lightweight with the whole bike coming in at apporximately 14kg.
Another nifty feature is Cannondale's 'Intellimount' system, which allows for the easy attachment of your mobile phone so you have a Sat Nav and the eBikeMotion app in front of you on screen while you ride.
For an extra comfort win you get a plush quilted saddle, and even the pedals have some deck tape for some added grip, The BMX-style handlebar is optimised for comfort when you're cruising, and Cannondale's Urban Armour should protect the frame against dents and dings.
The Treadwell Neo is priced at €1,999 (both the standard and Remixte frames) and €2,299 for the EQ version with mudguards, a front basket and built-in lighting. Head over to Cannondale's website for more info.
