Jack Steward, who has previously made small, towable cabins that can be moved around by car, has unveiled the Bike Cabin, a small wooden cabin that measures just 28 square feet and can be towed by e-bike.
In a video showcasing the Bike Cabin, Steward said: “I wanted to design a cabin so small and so light that I could tow it behind a bicycle, and thus be able to get deeper into the woods, into places where my car is not allowed.”
Steward’s e-bike is the X24 from Engwe, which he describes as “so well suited” for towing the Bike Cabin. The X24 is dual battery, with one 920Wh battery and one 480Wh battery, and a 1,200W peak power hub motor that, “allows us to climb slopes that normal e-bikes wouldn’t be able to climb,” according ot Steward. The bike can also be folded in half.

Steward tested the cabin for the first time at Sand Dunes State Forest in Minnesota, US.
The Bike Cabin has three windows, a memory foam mattress, a USB power hub, an LED reading light, two USB fans, two candle lanterns, a single burner propane stove, a small camp chair, and a small camp table.
It also has dropdown jack legs that are adjustable, so the tyres can come off the ground when the cabin is parked.
