We missed this one first time around, but the world is now cottoning on that e-cargo bikes are the way to go... as the UK sustainable transport charity Sustrans managed to move the entire contents of their old Farringdon offices across to Tower Hamlets using electric cargo bikes!
With the help of e-cargo taxi and logistics firm Pedal Me, Sustrans used their 53-strong workforce to shift, amongst many other things, a 117kg printer, 100 storage boxes, 50 crates full of IT equipment, three cupboards and two static pedal-powered blenders (check the latter out here if you're intrigued).
Sustrans have big plans in 2019, including a complete overhaul of the National Cycle Network which they manage with government funding. Watch the video above as the loads are carefully stacked and transported across the capital emission-free...
