E-mobility brand Golden Ride has announced the launch of a range of e-bikes inspired by the Italian rider, Fausto Coppi. Golden Ride is part of Terravision Electric Ltd, an Italian firm that first specialised in European airport transfers, before embracing micromobility, in particular e-scooters, e-bikes and tricycles. Only a few weeks ago we reported on Golden Ride’s launch in the UK, where they have opened a flagship store in Stratford.
The Coppi range brings three more e-bikes: the Coppi Folding Acciaio, the Coppi Olanda Riviera and the Coppi E-Bike Hybrid Acciaio.
Commerical Director at Golden Ride, Niccolò Petroni commented: “Today marks another key milestone in the history of Golden Ride. Although the brand has a rich heritage that extends beyond two decades in Italy, our journey in the UK has only just started. But what an exciting journey it’s already been for us: only last month we proudly opened our new UK flagship store in London, and now we’re delighted to introduce the full Coppi e-bike range to UK consumers.
“The three Coppi e-bike models – the Coppi Folding Acciaio, the Coppi Olanda Riviera and the Coppi E-Bike Hybrid Acciaio – each offer something new and something different to the electric micro-mobility segment.”
Coppi Folding Acciaio
First up is the Coppi Folding Acciaio, which, as the name rather suggests, is a folding e-bike. It’s powered by a 250W rear hub motor and a 280Wh Samsung battery, which Golden Ride suggests will provide a maximum range of 40km (just under 25 miles). It features a mid-frame hinge point, and a 6-speed Shimano drivetrain, paired with V brakes. It’s being sold for £939.
Coppi Olanda Riviera
The second bike is the Coppi Olanda Riviera, a bike presumably inspired by leisurely rides along the Riviera or something. It again uses a 250W rear hub motor and 280Wh battery with a maximum range of 40km. It comes with 26” wheels and a rear rack for carrying a little extra. It also uses a Shimano 6-speed drivetrain and V brakes. The Olanda Riviera is priced at £1,070.
Coppi E-Bike Hybrid Acciaio
The final bike in the range is the Coppi E-Bike Hybrid Acciaio. This features suspension forks, and has been “designed with adventure in mind.” It uses the same rear hub motor and battery as the other two bikes in the collection, although one upgrade is the brakes. For the Hybrid Acciaio, you get mechanical disc brakes. This bike is also available for £1,060.
Interestingly, all three bikes look to only come in one size, and the website doesn’t offer much in the way of a size guide. The range is available to buy online now or from the Stratford store.
