Trek have gone lighter and sleeker with the latest e-road version of their popular Domane endurance bike, replacing the chunkier Bosch drive on the Domane+ for Fazua's discreet Evation motor system on the all new Domane+ LT.
Trek describe it as "a performance electric road bike that looks and handles just like the road bikes you know", with the Evation system enabling them to bring the weight down further compared to the Domane+. At 13.6kg with the battery pack and 10.7kg with it removed it's not as light as some serious e-road weight weenies like the Ribble Endurance SLe and Wilier Cento1 Hybrid; but most likely it will still be light enough to feel close to the ride feel of a regular 'acoustic' road bike.
It includes Trek's adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed system for extra comfort and vibration-dampening, with hydraulic disc brakes and sleek internal cable routing. There is enough clearance for up to 38mm tyres for all-road adventures, and you also get front and rear integrated lighting.
The Domane+ LT is available now at Trek dealers and via their website priced between £4,900.00 - £5,450.00, with the additional option to customise paint jobs and components with Trek's Project One custom bike program. Head over to Trek's website for more info and buying options.
