Orbea have today announced the Vibe, a new urban e-bike aimed at commuters. There are five base models with any number of accessory and personalisation options available through Orbea’s MyO system.
Orbea says the Vibe is designed, “for the fast-paced, grab-and-go lifestyle of the city,” and for those, “inspired to embrace a higher level of car-free mobility.”
“Vibe is a sophisticated accessory that echoes your sense of style without overshadowing it,” said the firm in a statement. “A sleek, fun, reliable tool that can be easily manoeuvred into apartments or workplaces.”
The Vibe comes in high top tube and mid tube versions, which are further subdivided into five different models according to the presence or absence of kickstands, carrier racks, mudguards and other elements.
As you’d imagine for a bike aimed at commuters, the geometry puts the rider in a fairly upright position.
Each model can be further customised within Orbea’s system with several colour options available.
All models feature the 250-watt Mahle ebikemotion X35+ rear hub motor which is teamed with a 250Wh battery.
There’s also a range-extender that fits on the bike’s water bottle mount.
Lezyne front and rear daytime running lights power on automatically. The front light is integrated into the stem, while the rear light is within either the seat post or mudguard, depending on the model.
The rack has a load capacity of up to 18kg and is also compatible with most child trailers and carriers.
Orbea have also come up with the OC dual bag, which converts from a rack mount to a backpack.
Prices start at £2,099 for the H30 model.
