Forme have launched their first electric road bike, the Thorpe E-Road. Priced at £4,000, the bike has Fazua's Evation system providing the power and has a full carbon monocoque frame with disc brakes and 12mm thru-axles.
Review: Ribble Endurance SLe Di2
The Fazua Evation system weighs just 4.6kg for the motor, battery and gearbox combined, and appears on numerous other e-road bikes we've reported on and reviewed in the past such as Pinarello's Nytro. It provides four levels of power, and Forme have specced a 50/34t FSA chainset with an 11-32t Shimano Ultegra to get you up any climb.
Elsewhere the shifters and derailleurs are both mechanical Shimano Ultegra, and 28mm Schwalbe tyres are mounted to a set of Fulcrum Racing 500 wheels. The hydraulic disc brakes are also Shimano, with 12mm thru-axles front and rear.
The Thorpe E-Road should be available to order from the 22nd July, and we're also expecting a visit from Forme soon (hopefully with a test bike for us) to see if it's any good! Head over to Forme's website for more info.
