Late last year, we reported on Daymak's new Avvenire line of electric vehicles, the most eye-catching of which was a flying car. Another striking inclusion was the Spiritus, a high speed three-wheeler for which the Canadian firm has now launched an appropriately ambitious crowdfunder.
The Spiritus is a two-seater electric vehicle (EV), which apparently, “rides like a go-kart”. This doesn’t seem an entirely accurate description as the thing can reportedly do 0-60mph in 1.8 seconds with a top speed of 130mph.
It has solar panels for trickle charging, a regeneration system, and Daymak’s own patent pending wireless charger.
There’s a $19,995 USD Deluxe version, which offers a range of 300km; and a $149,000 USD Ultimate version with an 80kWh battery and a range of 480km.
“This is very exciting” said Daymak founder, Aldo Baiocchi. “Daymak has come a long way from when I started in my garage in 2001. The Spiritus is a dream come true.”
The EV is slated to start production in 2023. The crowdfunding campaign goal is to reach 50,000 pre-orders.
Baiocchi explained: “Every $100 deposit or more will guarantee you a lower price for your car and will include a bonus $100 coupon towards any e-bike or small electric vehicle that we sell now through any of our dealers. This is only available through the crowdfunding campaign.”
The other vehicles in the Daymak Avvenire Series are Terra, a 500W off-road bike; Foras, a covered, recumbent, single passenger e-bike; Tectus, an all-wheel drive three-wheel e-scooter; Aspero, a lightweight, enclosed all-terrain vehicles; and Skyrider, a flying EV.
