Well, the Tesla* Model B e-bike** certainly got you talking. Okay it's just a concept, but an interesting one, and there's plenty of things to say about it. Here's our take on the Model B, including a look at the real-life progress of the various technologies that the bike would employ. Everything that's featured on the bike is at least at working prototype stage, so maybe the Model B isn't as far-fetched as it might at first appear.
The autonomous tech that the bike would use for autopilot systems could mostly be directly ported from self-driving cars; there's some minituarisation neccesary, but that's currently ongoing anyway. The stabilisation tech to make a two-wheeled vehicle stay upright on its own has been demonstrated by a couple of motorbike manufacturers, and the crazy three-strut suspension wheels are already a real thing, made for the wheelchair market. We just need some futuristic mudguards and it's a slam dunk!
